Glidewell offers a variety of restor- ative products for dentists, including their 3 flagship product lines—BruxZir Solid Zirconia Crowns and Bridges, the Inclusive Tooth Replacement System, and H/S Bite Splints.

BruxZir Solid Zirconia is a monolithic zirconia crown, bridge, screw-retained implant crown, inlay or onlay with no porcelain overlay. Designed and milled using CAD/CAM technology, BruxZir is the fastest-growing product in Glidewell’s history and is backed by a 7-year free replacement warranty.

An all-in-one treatment package, the Inclusive Tooth Replacement System features the implant, drills, prosthetic stent, custom temporary components for patient-specific soft-tissue manage- ment, a custom impression coping, and the final CAD/CAM restoration.

Glidewell also manufactures Comfort H/S Hard Soft Bite Splints. Two layers make up the splint—a 1 mm soft, comfortable polyurethane in- ner layer and a 3 mm hard, durable co- polyester outer layer. The soft internal surface rests comfortably against the teeth and gums, while the hard occlusal surface provides durability and bonds with acrylic for easy modification.

INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY
In the last 6 years, Glidewell Laboratories’ commitment to the latest digital technology has transcended a conventional dental lab into almost 85% of its production in CAD/CAM. It also prompted them to open the Glidewell International Technology Center in 2011, a facility dedicated to providing contemporary, technology-focused dental education. The center houses a fully functional operatory and surgical suite equipped with a cone beam CT scanner and offers live video demonstrations in a classroom auditorium.

By combining multiple digital technologies, Glidewell focuses on an integrated digital solution that provides a variety of tools to improve communication, treatment planning, CAD design, and production of digital restorations.

When I opened Glidewell Laboratories in 1970, I had big plans and dreams, but what has evolved is more than I ever could have imagined. The same guiding principles on which our company was founded—to provide premium products at an outstanding value—still drive everything we do, as we seek to drive down restorative costs to help expand patient access to affordable dentistry.

We will continue to invest in new technologies and refine our products and services. Our R&D department will continue to conduct advanced research; develop stronger, more esthetic zirconia materials; and improve CAD/CAM processes.
